






Dr. Eric Schmidt grew up in Boulder, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado, where he earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in psychology in 1988 and 1991. He moved to San Francisco for his former work in biology research. He then attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
He has been at Alameda Family Dental Practice since 2004. He is also currently dental director of Sonrisas Community Clinic in Half Moon Bay, CA, and is an adjunct instructor for dentures and partial dentures at the University of the Pacific Dental School. His special interests include the use of limited orthodontics, research on jaw joint problems, and providing care for children and adults who are afraid of dental work. Dr. Schmidt is a certified Invisalign provider. He enjoys working on old broken cars, traveling with his wife and son, playing with his dog, sea kayaking, bicycling, and reading lots of dental literature in his free time.
